Knock on doors and introduce yourself; get together with your next door neighbour as it can be a bit scary by yourself!
Street BBQ/Party/Potluck dinner/ Picnic; maybe hold as a fundraiser, everyone likes giving to a good cause.
Neighbourhood competition/games afternoon drinks and Nibbles evening
Start a Neighbourhood Support Group
